The SAL chapter at Akron recently participated in an event sure to bring smiles to the faces of the children. At this activity, members were given elf costumes and lined up along the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad to wave and be excited for the kids arriving on the train to the "North Pole." Donation of Posters for Breast Cancer Support Group
SAL members at FIU has participated in fundraising and coordinating for a breast cancer awareness event in their area. After the main event, three of them were chosen to go to South Miami Hospital where two beautiful and inspiring posters were given a home. A member had contacted local artist Eddie Gonzalez, who designed the large poster entitled "We Will Fight." The three members presented the amazing art piece to a breast cancer support group called "Bosom Buddies" which is run by survivor Linda Burrowes. ... Continue Reading

Scot Fest
Members of the UCR Chapter of SAL recently volunteered at Scot Fest, a free carnival of sorts that was a part of homecoming weekend. The attendees at the carnival were UCR alumni, parents of students and current students.
