Polar Express
The SAL chapter at Akron recently participated in an event sure to bring smiles to the faces of the children. At this activity, members were given elf costumes and lined up along the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad to wave and be excited for the kids arriving on the train to the “North Pole.” Santa also arrived on the “Polar Express” and boarded the actual train with the kids.
Investing time and energy into something geared toward children is a great way to give back to the community. Says Chapter President Christina White, “I believe this event was a success. All our members were happy despite the freezing conditions, and we also had friends and alumni who joined us in this event.”
