Karma Kitchen
Karma Kitchen is "a volunteer-driven experiment in generosity."*  Each Sunday they serve lunch at a local restaurant.  At the end of the meal, the guest receives a check for $0.00 explaining that the guest before them paid for their meal.  They are then invited to  pay it forward by contributing to the next guest's meal.  The SAL chapter at San Jose State University has volunteered with Karma Kitchen a number of times to help serve the meals. ...
