Hiking

SAL members at Virginia Tech University went on a hiking adventure as a teambuilding activity in Giles, VA.  The 45 minute drive itself was great for getting to know one another, but officers and members both enjoyed hiking to the waterfall.  There, they told stories and talked about classes, their hometowns, and school vacations.  They also stopped for lunch together on the way home.

VT’s Chapter President Lauren Luttrell said, “We had a few members that had never been to see the waterfall at the top of the hike so sharing that first experience with them was awesome!  But even better was getting to know members we hadn’t met before.  It ended up feeling like a bunch of friends who had known each other for a while just going for a hike!”
