Scramble Scrabble
SAL’s Emporia State University Chapter recently donated to and participated in Cradle to Career Literacy Center’s Scrabble competition, which was put on to raise money to help buy GED materials for their students.
The Literacy Center also provides tutoring and ESL classes for adults. SAL members helped by donating to their concessions stand and participated with playing with their life size board. Some members also helped with putting together the board.
“We appreciate being a part of this event and to be able to help fundraise for an important cause,” noted Chapter President Leslye Soto.
