CASA Gift Donation

Members from the Emporia State University Chapter participated in a gift adoption through an organization called CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for children.

CASA is a network of 951 community-based programs that recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms and communities. Volunteer advocates—empowered directly by the courts—offer judges the critical information they need to ensure that each child’s rights and needs are being attended to while in foster care.

The Emporia State University Chapter “adopted” four girls from the organization to purchase and donate Christmas gifts for.  They asked members to help with buying and donating gifts and also used their SAL fundraising funds to purchase even more gifts! They ultimately had a great outcome of presents to donate to CASA and their contribution will make these girls’ Christmas a happier one!
