With another fall semester in the books, let’s look back on some of the fun events that SAL members took part in!
SAL members found several ways to make a positive impact in their communities. SAL’s University of Iowa and University of Alabama Birmingham chapters embraced the outdoors, with each taking part in cleanup efforts in their communities. Likewise, the San Diego State University chapter helped remove weeds and clear hiking trails at Ruffin Canyon. Finding another way to serve their community, the University of Georgia chapter put smiles on the faces of residents at The Morningside of Athens by hosting a Bingo game night event.
When they weren’t out in their communities making a positive impact, SAL members spent time getting to know each other better. For instance, members from SAL’s University of Wisconsin Whitewater chapter created their very own SAL t-shirts during the chapter’s tie-dye social event. SAL’s New Mexico State University chapter tailgated at a school football game and attended a bonfire/concert event together.
Great job making a difference and fostering a spirit of community this fall! We’re excited to see all the great things you’ll accomplish this spring!
