Head Start Hats & Gloves

After learning that many ECKAN Head Start families did not have hats and gloves, the Emporia State University SAL Chapter decided to help.  They purchased from Wal-Mart 50 hats and 50 gloves to give to Head Start.

Head Start is a school program for low-income families to send their children and prepare them for school.  Said local SAL president Marissa Grier, “This event went great!  It was kind of a quick and spur of the moment event, but it was greatly received from the staff at Head Start.”
