2018 Food Fight Against Hunger

First kicking off in 2010, Food Fight Against Hunger is a competition that unites Sigma Alpha Lambda chapters from across the country in a mission to fight back against hunger. Over the course of several months, SAL chapters compete to collect money and nonperishable food items for their local food banks.

Over the years, SAL members have embraced Food Fight Against Hunger and the call to action behind the event. Since 2010, SAL members have managed to collect over 120,000 nonperishable food items and $40,000 for their local food banks.

This year’s Food Fight has already begun, and members can make a difference in a variety of ways. Bringing items from your house/apartment to chapter meetings and events, going door-to-door asking for donations, or hosting a fundraiser night at a local restaurant are just some of the many ways members can take part in Food Fight Against Hunger.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be releasing a guide to help with collecting items, as well as announcing a brand new competition that will be a part of FFAH. This year’s event is shaping up to be one of our most exciting yet, and we can’t wait to see how you all participate!
