Project Downtown
SAL Members at University of South Florida gathered together to participate in Project Downtown. The members met in their student center and prepared 400 sandwiches. They also picked up bagels and pastries from Panera Bread. Once everything was packaged, they took it to three different homeless shelters in their downtown area. Food was also distributed to homeless people on the streets. The SAL members and officers thought this was a successful event not only for those who were fed, but also as a way to serve together in their community.
