Maryland Food Bank
Fighting hunger is an important part of Sigma Alpha Lambda’s mission. SAL members at University of Maryland Baltimore County helped fight hunger by volunteering at Maryland Food Bank, an affiliate of Feeding America.
Members worked in the distribution center and helped to sort and pack food items. They also froze perishable goods. Chapter President Mobolaji Fowose said the event was, “a great opportunity to help feed the hungry. It was also a great time to get to know and engage in a conversation with other members of SAL.”
