Elementary School Tour Guide

Spencer County Elementary School students learned about service, achievement, and leadership from the University of Louisville SAL members. The local school wanted a tour of the university and chose Sigma Alpha Lambda to give it to them. SAL volunteered as university tour guides to the 5th graders from SCES and provided candy to the students who could correctly answer their questions. The students were able to have lunch in the cafeteria following the tour.

“It was very beneficial for the 5th graders because they had never been to a campus so big. They were able to see what college life was like. They had a lot of important questions like tuition, scholarships, class schedules, campus jobs, etc. Their teachers told us they were all talking about how they wanted to go to UofL for college on the bus on the way home,” said Lubna Hindi, Chapter President.
