College Green Park Litter Pick Up
The University of Iowa Chapter of Sigma Alpha Lambda got a jump start on serving their community by adopting College Green Park in Iowa City, Iowa, and they recently had their first day of service there! Since it was the very beginning of the school year and the chapter had not yet had its kick-off meeting, the chapter officers came together to check for vandalism and to pick up litter in and around the park.
Chapter President Brandon Johnson summarized: “This was a great way for SAL officers to get together while participating in a service activity. College Green Park is a city park near the University of Iowa Campus, so there are many students who use this park on a daily basis. Doing this service event is helping to keep the park clean and safe for all of those who enjoy the area.”
