UGArden

University of Georgia Chapter members recently got their green thumbs on by volunteering at UGArden!

According to their website, “UGArden is a student-run farm located just south of the main University of Georgia campus. Student volunteers help manage and provide the primary labor to grow approximately 4 acres of vegetables, fruits, shitake mushrooms and herbs using organic practices.”

SAL members went to the garden and helped plant various plants and vegetables, learning about the proper ways to plant things and how they sustain their garden in the process. Said Chapter President Morgan Cook, “We had a good time and everyone there enjoyed it. We planted everything they needed planted!”
