Walk for Suicide Prevention
Members of our University of Arizona Chapter spent a morning helping with various tasks involving the set up and execution of the 5k Walk for Suicide Prevention in the Tucson community!
The chapter was in charge of setting up tents and tables, passing out balloons, and working the lunch tent to provide sandwiches and drinks to the walkers.
According to Chapter President Brooke Campbell, “It was a great event that everyone enjoyed volunteering at. We felt like we made a difference in the community and learned a lot about suicide prevention and mental health topics from the many speakers at the event. We were able to contribute our time to a great cause and everyone was proud of that.”
