Alzheimer’s  5k Walk

Texas A&M University and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee each participated in the Alzhiemer’s Walk event in their local areas to help raise funds and awareness for this very worthy cause.

The Alzheimer’s Association hosted a 5k walk and run at Wolf Pen Creek Park in College Station, Texas. Texas A&M University members registered and walked the 5k route as a team united in the battle to end Alzheimer’s. Their team contributed to raising over $41,000 for The Alzheimer’s Association.

University of Wisconsin Milwaukee volunteered at Alzheimers Walk in Milwaukee. Two of the members volunteered their time working at the registration table while the third helped with advocacy efforts.  They then took the time to help pack up the site. The Alzheimer’s 5k event in Milwaukee raised over $300,000.

While they participated in the Alzheimer’s 5k event in different cities and did different things for it, both chapters were successful in helping to raise awareness and money for the cause to end Alzheimer’s while spending meaningful time together as a chapter!
