Door-2-Door Food Collection
SAL’s Texas A&M University Chapter recently had a great way to collect items for their chapter’s contribution to our annual Food Fight Against Hunger!
Members gathered at a house to make bags with a sweet treat and instructional note attached describing what the project is and asking for non-perishable food donations. They then left the bags on the door steps of houses around the neighborhood with a fixed time to be pick them up the next evening. They put out 222 bags and received 171 food donations! This was a very successful activity and a great way for the chapter to promote this important initiative in their community!
