Making Valentine’s Day Cards for Others
In recognition of Valentine’s Day this month, several chapters got their creative juices flowing to share some love with those who may not be spending the holiday how they would prefer to this year.
Members at our Appalachian State University, University of North Carolina Charlotte, and James Madison University Chapters gathered together to make cards for the elderly. SAL members at Colorado State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Arizona also made Valentine’s Day cards for hospitalized children.
It may not seem like much to some, but to the recipient a hand made card with a note of inspiration or encouragement can be all that is needed to bring a smile to their face and help them remember that they are not forgotten. Our members also find the very act of getting together to make the cards a rewarding time of bonding and bringing some cheer to the lives of those in their communities!
