CISAR Animal Shelter
Members from the Illinois State University Chapter took a trip to Colfax, IL, to volunteer their time at Central Illinois Small Animal Rescue (CISAR). CISAR is a no-kill shelter and low-cost animal clinic. The members were able to help the staff at the shelter by cleaning the cages where the dogs, cats, birds and other animals live.
After cleaning the cages, the members were able to spend some time playing with the animals. It was a great reward for their hard work to be able to play and cuddle with puppies! This volunteer opportunity was a great way for the members to be able to help CISAR provide a safe and happy place for animals to stay while they wait to be adopted.
