Rebuilding a Playground!
El Centro members and the iLeaders group from their school joined forces with other organizations to rebuild an entire playground from scratch!
Alongside volunteers from Kaboom, Kid’s University, and Good Pharmacy, SAL members worked hard to contribute to restoring the children’s play area at the Mayan Palms Apartments, which recently had a fire. Students got together to lay down concrete and mulch, and they put together playground components such as monkey bars, a slide, benches, flower beds and so much more.
Reported Chapter Vice President Ana Estrada, “The students and members enjoyed the camaraderie and fellowship while building the playground. It was very hard work, but in the end, a new playground was up in 6 hours!”
