Cradles to Crayons

This school year, Sigma Alpha Lambda members at Boston University volunteered at Cradles to Crayons, a nonprofit organization that provides basic essentials to homeless and in-need children. Sigma Alpha Lambda’s BU team of 15 members formed two groups during their service. The first group sorted clothes, toys, shoes, and school supplies while the second group separated clothing into summer and winter sections.

Alisa Domanski, Vice-President of SAL at BU, said of the event: “The activity allowed our chapter to work together in order to provide everyday necessities to the children who need it. Both groups were able to get a large amount sorted and worked their hardest to achieve the most they can in the allotted time.”

Cradles to Crayons partners with social services to provide resources needed to make children feel warm, safe, valued, and ready to learn. All donations are given to a child in great need.
