Dance Marathon
Sigma Alpha Lambda members at Indiana State University danced the night away to benefit Riley’s Children Hospital. The university raised over $200,000 for research on cancer treatments, funding to buy items for the hospital, and for the families. Participants wore socks the whole night to gain a better understanding for the children who can’t wear shoes while in the hospital.
“This was a very heartwarming event. As the hours went on and our feet started to hurt, I was able to think of children who are in pain and might not be able to escape it like we could after the twelve hours,” said Chapter President Danielle Lance.
This was the first time SAL members participated as a group, but it will not be the last. “I cannot wait for next year’s event,” added Danielle.
