Polar Plunge
Representing her UWW SAL chapter, VP of Public Relations Nicole Fritsche participated in Polar Plunge. Nicole joined 260 individuals who jumped into freezing water this winter to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics. The money collected will contribute to the 18 different Olympic-type sports offered year-round, as well as free health care screens to ensure optimal health and performance of Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes during competition.
“What motivated me to do the Polar Plunge was trying something new and crazy,” Nicole said. “I have never been in a Polar Plunge before, so I thought this would be something fun to do while raising money for a good cause. I would do it again because I had such an amazing experience doing it.”
