Hospital Donation
Riley Children’s Hospital received a special donation from the members of SAL at Indiana State University. The officers organized a bake sale to raise money for the hospital, and many students around the university wanted to donate to the cause. After receiving $115 from donations and bake sale profits, SAL fulfilled a wish list of items from the hospital, including Play Do, dolls, action figures, and art supplies.
The hospital is personal to many SAL members; several were patients and others know children who have been. The chapter is planning more ways to help with the hospital, such as more fundraising efforts and participating in State Dance Marathon. Chapter President Danielle Lance said she would also love to do this same activity again next semester.
