Student Leadership Summit
Officers and members of SAL at El Centro College took advantage of the opportunity to attend the 2017 Dallas County Community College District, (DCCCD) Student Leadership Summit. The theme of the Summit was titled: The Pathway to Success: People, Purpose, and Passion. The keynote speaker, Jonathan Sprinkles, discussed how to be an effective leader of a successful organization. Some of his tips included “be outstanding, leadership is about the person you are not the position you hold, and invest and give back to your community.”
In addition to learning about leadership, members enjoyed networking with students from other organizations. They were also given free t-shirts for attending the event.
