Points for Pain
Montclair State University SAL members volunteered with Points for Pain, a fundraiser created by Chapter Co-President Megan Seely’s cousin, Tyler. Tyler saw his mother struggle with chronic pain disorders and wanted to make a difference.
“Tyler came up with the Points for Pain fundraiser to benefit children living with chronic pain. All proceeds made at these fundraisers are used to send families of children with chronic pain disorders to a week-long camp over the summer. Some of these children were never able to go to camps because of inaccessibility issues. This camp makes them feel understood and accepted, as they see that they are not alone in their journey,” said Megan.
SAL members assisted with directions, raising awareness, and throwing out t-shirts at the local event.
