Animal Shelter Tour & Volunteering
Valdosta State University SAL members recently toured the Lowndes County Animal Shelter and spent time with some of the animals!
During the tour, they learned about the types of animals at the shelter and how to care for the animals along with different procedures that have to be followed to ensure both the safety of the volunteers and the animals. Then, they got to play and interact with some of the different animals.
Chapter President Alexus Mathis summarized of the activity: “We got to bond as an organization, relieve some stress we might have encountered throughout the week, and play with some really awesome, loving animals.” Well done, Valdosta members!
