Weiner Fest
The Texas A&M University Chapter volunteered for Weiner Fest, a fundraiser held by the Aggieland Humane Society. This event features a costume contest, a weiner race, a 5k walk/run and much more. Wienerfest is an annual event hosted at Wolf Pen Creek Park in College Station, TX, in order to raise funds for the Aggieland Humane Society and increase adoption rates out of the shelter.
The SAL members were in charge of assisting with the organization of the event and running of the Costume Contest. All of the members loved working with the dogs and enjoyed getting to know the staff and other volunteers from the Aggieland Humane Society. They also had a great time seeing all the adorable dogs dressed up in all kinds of costumes.
