Each September, Sigma Alpha Lambda chapters take part in an impactful tradition by participating in SAL’s 9-11 Flag Memorial Event. First started by a former SAL president, the 9-11 Flag Memorial Event aims to provide students with an opportunity to honor those who lives were lost due to the events of September 11th, 2001.
This year, chapters from all across the country volunteered their time to create flag memorials on their campus, including Binghamton University, Indiana State University, University of Southern Mississippi, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia State University.
