Sigma Alpha Lambda members benefit greatly through our partnership with Wells Fargo. Just by being a SAL member, students can access mobile banking, qualify for special benefits, receive shopping and entertainment discounts, scholarships, and savings plans. SAL members and staff can participate in the Wells Fargo at Work program (click here for more information). Another benefit is LifeMart, a one-stop shop with the best discounted deals for everything from movie tickets to electronic purchases. Perhaps the most appealing perk of this partnership is the chance for members to earn scholarship money and find the best way to financially plan for their education. Wells Fargo also helps SAL students on the local level. University of Virginia’s chapter hosted local Wells Fargo representatives for a presentation on credit. They addressed credit basics, establishing credit, improving your credit, managing your debt, getting ready to borrow, and exploring your credit choices. Members were able to receive personalized guidance during a question-and-answer session following the event. Laurel Via, UVA Chapter President, said of the event, “This presentation was very valuable, as many of the members were unsure how their credit was positively or negatively impacted.
