On October 15th, SAL chapters all over the country participated in our first ever SAL Spirit Day.  SAL members proudly wore their t-shirts and flaunted their other SAL gear while participating in a variety of Spirit Day Events.

Youngstown State University’s SAL officers joined together to “paint the rock,” a tradition on campus for student organizations.  Grand Valley State University and University of Nebraska-Lincoln set up tables where they passed out candy along with SAL information.

University of Central Oklahoma set up a table promoting SAL near the school cafeteria.  Chapter President Layla Niavarani made a tri-fold with pictures of fun events that SAL has participated in throughout the last few years.  Pens, koozies, and invitation letters were passed out to interested students.  “This activity resulted in more students being aware of SAL and everything we accomplish on campus.  Hopefully this will result in an increase in the size of our chapter,” said Layla.

If you didn’t get a chance to participate in a SAL Spirit Day event this October, you have another chance on April 8, 2014.  Be sure to check out the SAL store for specials on excellent gear leading up to that day.
