Montgomery County Christmas Store
SAL’s Virginia Tech Chapter sent a few volunteers to help with the Montgomery County Christmas Store. This is an organization that provides aid to low income families in the area by providing them with a shopping experience for the holidays. SAL members were spread out in various departments, such as household items and clothing, and would help shoppers select items within their point budget. They also made sure they were checked out correctly before leaving.
“My favorite part was working with the people,” said Chapter Vice President Sydni Koch. “I loved that we were able to play a part in making the holidays of these community members a little bit better.”
