Climb for a Cure

SAL members at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee recently volunteered at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Climb for a Cure by getting climbers water and encouraging them to keep up the great work!

According to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation website, “The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s CF Climb event takes the search for a cure to new heights. Each year, thousands of participants race the stairs of a tall building or stadium in a challenge of will and endurance to raise funds to support the mission of the CF Foundation.”

Said Chapter President Lauren Meyer of the activity: “It was an amazing experience, not only because it was for a great cause, but because the climbers were so passionate. We met firefighters who climbed up 41 floors in full gear, adding 70+pounds to their climb. It was absolutely incredible. We were also able to have fun and help climbers get all the way to the top! We are planning on participating in next years climb because it was such a great experience!” Well done, UWM members!
