Habitat for Humanity Service Project
The University of Virginia Chapter recently volunteered at their local Habitat for Humanity Re-Store by helping with a variety of projects!
Members were tasked with working on a project and putting together furniture. The small project they were assigned to work on was building a model house for an upcoming festival which showcases volunteer work in the community. When this was completed, they were asked to assemble furniture that was donated by large corporations such as Wal-Mart and Target.
Chapter President Ciceli Bradshaw shared of the experience: “I thoroughly enjoyed working with Habitat for Humanity! We were able to volunteer and see our hard work pay off in the short time that we were there! Our time and effort was greatly appreciated and I hope that this will be something that we can do for many semesters to come!”
