Stampede of Service

According to the USF web site, Stampede of Service is “the largest community service event in USF’s history, a day completely devoted to participating in service, enjoying time with friends, and making a difference. It is not only an important campus tradition, but also a meaningful USF connection to the Tampa Bay community.” The SAL Chapter at USF took part in this event as a way to give back to their community.

The SAL members and officers were assigned to work on cleaning up trash in surrounding neighborhoods. They filled 15 trash bags and even found old tires which they placed for collection. Chapter President Sejada Kastrati said, “It was a productive day and we felt good that we made a big difference in that neighborhood. We even got a few thank you’s from locals and that made it all worthwhile!”
