Ruffin Canyon Restoration Project
The San Diego State University chapter took advantage of a wonderful opportunity to help clear Ruffin Canyon. From time to time, Ruffin Canyon needs maintenance work done to keep the canyon’s trail clear. Joined by their advisor and several of his students, chapter members trimmed plants and removed pesky weeds from the trail. The result of their hard work was a cleaner trail that the community would be able to enjoy.
“We saved the canyon from being even more contaminated by the harmful weeds,” said SDSU Chapter President Patricia Flores. “Overall everyone left the event feeling like they made an impact in our community.”
