Haunted Student Center
Rowan University hosts a “Haunted Student Center” event around Halloween for children in the community. Student organizations decorate a room and have an activity for kids to do in that room. The Rowan University Chapter partnered with the Student Council for Exceptional Children to decorate a Monsters, Inc. themed room.
The members dressed up in costumes and worked together to decorate the room. During the event, the members welcomed children and helped them with arts and crafts as well as doing face painting. Both the members and the kids who attended had a great time. Chapter President Meg Sickler said, “Community service is one of our core values in SAL, and we love finding fun ways to give back.”
