Easter Eggs for the Nursing Home
Nursing homes were hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many residents were left lonely and without much to give them cheer. Thanks to the Mississippi State University SAL Chapter, that wasn’t the case for the residents of Carrington Nursing Center this Easter. SAL Members donated plastic Easter eggs stuffed with candy and officers delivered them to the residents at the nursing center.
The activity opened up doors for future partnerships. “They were so appreciative and became aware of our organization. They also offered us volunteering positions,” said Vice President of Public Relations Adelyn Spees.
