Twenty SAL members at James Madison University joined together to work the concession stand at their school’s basketball game. They volunteered to set up, clean up, and serve food in between. Some members worked the cash register while others made food.
This event lasted from 5:30-9:30, but was a benefit for SAL in more ways than one. “This activity was not only a great volunteer opportunity for SAL but also allowed SAL to fundraise for our upcoming semi-formal in March, and was a great way to put SAL’s name out there,” said Historian Natalie Scholberg.
