Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is a 5k walk/run to raise money for breast cancer research. Participants come together to raise money while celebrating cancer survivors and remember those who lost their lives.

Members from the SAL chapter at GVSU volunteered to help with the race. They got there bright and early and helped set up the start and finish lines. Then the race began! Members were positioned at the sidelines to pass out water to the runners.

Through this event, SAL members were able to be a part of a successful effort to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.
