Welcome to SAL, Castleton University!

Sigma Alpha Lambda would like to welcome Castleton University to our organization. Starting with a solid team of nine officers ought to help this chapter establish a strong foundation for future success.

Founding chapter president, Meghan Zawatsky, started a SAL chapter at her university because she “wanted to become more involved with a club or chapter on campus, and become more involved within the community of Castleton and Rutland, Vermont.” Her officer team “works very closely and easily with each other.” They have developed “a good support system for each other by listening to every member’s ideas or opinions,” while also “holding each other accountable to complete tasks that need to be done.”

The chapter has set some terrific goals for the short- and long-term. Chapter secretary Kylie Goodbred says she wants to see the chapter do “more and more volunteer work for a multitude of places, and new opportunities that haven’t yet been done before.” The chapter looks forward to setting up a community volleyball game or scavenger hunt in the fall. The officers also hope that the chapter’s membership numbers will grow so that “in the future we can be that chapter and group that people aspire to be in because we are constantly doing good for others and our community.”

We are eager to watch the Castleton SAL chapter grow as they create opportunities for service, achievement, and leadership on their campus.
