Toys for Tots
Sigma Alpha Lambda’s Castleton University chapter recently held a successful toy drive with Toys for Tots.
The primary goal of Marine Toys for Tots is to help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children through the gift of a new toy. The Toys for Tots charity has been in operation and delivering a message of hope, through gifts, to less fortunate children since 1947.
In November, the SAL Castleton chapter organized a toy drive on campus, collecting toys from students, faculty, staff and community members. The toys collected from the toy drive were donated to Fair Haven Concern, a local organization that provides emergency funds to help families pay for heating fuel and a food shelf to help fight food insecurity.
Pictured here from left to right are SAL members, Lizzie Goodrich, Kylie Goodbred and Meghan Zawatsky, who played a key role in collection efforts.
