Gearing Up for the New Semester
SAL’s University of Texas Arlington chapter has more than doubled the size of their officer team, with six new officers joining the team! In order to kick the spring semester off right, the chapter hosted a meeting for the officers to get to know each other better. In addition to this, the chapter used the meeting to brainstorm ideas for the upcoming semester, as well as to start planning events such as volunteering on MLK Day, Relay for Life, and more.
For any chapters looking to add to their officer team, Chapter President Cesar C. Vazquez offered some great advice. “If you are looking to put a team together you should have a vision and a mission for the chapter, then seek students who like to take part in it,” said Vazquez.
