Winterization
Every year, the Purdue University Chapter of Sigma Alpha Lambda looks forward to Winterization! For this event, multiple groups at the university helped elderly and handicapped people prepare their homes and yards for the winter season. SAL volunteers raked leaves, washed windows, and trimmed tree branches. The event is a great time for SAL members to bond with one another and with the groups they served alongside.
Jessica Rentas, Chapter President, said the bonding was one of her favorite parts. She enjoyed another aspect of the event too. “Another favorite part of mine is when we are finished with a house, the residents are so thankful. It warms my heart that I could make them so happy. We will definitely continue to do it in years to come.”
