The most engaging and active leadership roles are filling the role of a Chapter officer. This is an opportunity to develop hands on experience in communication, project planning & execution, team building, and time management. Elections occur once per year, typically in early spring. This year’s SAL Spirit Day campaign was one of our best yet, with everyone from SAL members to the national office celebrating the event!
Welcome Ceremony Holding a Welcome Ceremony is a great way for a SAL chapter to show new members what SAL is all about and tell them how they can get involved in the upcoming semester. The Youngstown State University’s Welcome Ceremony this year was a successful event where many new members were able to connect with the officer team.
New Member Welcome Ceremony The Youngstown State University chapter holds an annual ceremony to welcome new members to the chapter. This event is a way for new members to learn more about the chapter and begin to get involved. This year the chapter had 25 new members that decided to attend. They were all very excited to be a part of SAL and wanted to get involved in helping the community.
