Aggie PAW Animals
A few times during the spring 2016 semester, SAL members at New Mexico State University have volunteered to help provide much-needed low-cost services for animals!
Volunteers assisted with set up and break down for ACTion Programs for Animals (APA) and Aggie PAW and worked at the table to take payments and sign people up for the different services. 120 people brought in pets for one event!
They also helped with the nail trimming station, greeted people, took down what they wanted done with their dogs, accepted payments, and handed out free dog food samples at another event.
Volunteers also assisted the Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary in their dog wash fundraiser for the no-kill pet shelter. They washed many dogs and even one goat, and they also trimmed their toenails and took a few dogs for a walk.
Summarized Chapter President Damin Kendrick: “It was a tremendous amount of fun and I highly suggest SAL team up with Aggie PAW and do [these events] whenever [they are] available.”
