Sibs and Kids Weekend

Sibs and Kids is a long-standing tradition at GVSU during which students are able to have their siblings or kids visit them for a weekend of fun. The SAL members volunteered to run a craft room for part of the weekend. The members set up several projects and helped the children with the projects as they came to the room. One of the crafts for SAL’s room was spin art, a fun activity where each group of children were able to create unique works of art. This project was a huge hit because everyone enjoyed the surprise of seeing how their creation turned out once it was done.

Many of the SAL members volunteering at this event had their siblings with them as well. They all had a great time helping with the spin art and even making their own paintings. This was also an opportunity for the members to show their siblings how much fun they have being a part of SAL!
