Feeding the Homeless
The FSU Chapter went to Big Bend Homeless Coalition to make a meal for the homeless. This homeless shelter is different from the rest, because they house 100 homeless people for 6 months in order to get them on their feet through helping them find a job and a place to live. They also provide meals, thanks to volunteers who come and prepare food for the residents.
SAL members brought supplies to make pizza, bread sticks and salad. They worked together to prepare the food and serve it to the residents. Raven Hill, Chapter President, said “We loved every minute of it, and to see the people’s gratitude was priceless.”
