9/11 Project
The Arkansas State University chapter wanted to do something for their local firefighters in honor of the anniversary of September 11, 2001. The members met several times to write letters to the firefighters thanking them for all that they do and for risking their lives to save others.
On September 11, the chapter went to their local fire station to hand-deliver the letters to the men and women who work there. The firefighters were very grateful for the letters and spent time with the members, showing them around the station and sharing stories with them. The members enjoyed the time spent at the station and learned a lot from the firefighters.
SAL chapters make it a priority to serve their community and make a difference in the lives of the people around them. The Arkansas State University chapter was able to encourage their local firefighters while remembering a tragic day in our nation’s past.
