Date Auction
In order to raise money for Relay for Life, the University of South Florida Chapter held a Date Auction. Members volunteered to be “auctioned off” as dates or as tutors for various subjects. There was a DJ for entertainment and participants enjoyed refreshments donated by local restaurants. The event was advertised on campus and was open to all students.
In addition to auctioning the dates and tutors, a raffle was held for baskets of prizes. The officers had gone around to various businesses to get donations of gift cards, merchandise and food to fill these baskets. The event was a success and the chapter was able to raise funds to put toward their goal for Relay for Life.
